September 16, 2010Preparing for SharePoint 2010 : Cumulative UpdatesI have seen many clients who are on a basic install of SharePoint 2007 Service Pack 2. This is the minimum requirement for running the Datatel Portal. This works fine, except that you are missing out on performance and bug fixes that Microsoft regularly releases in the form of cumulative updates. Also, to prepare and migrate to SharePoint 2010 you need to be on at least the October 2009 Cumulative Update.
